the fountainhead novel - photos..

do you know the fountainhead novel?!?! if not, please check this wiki - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fountainhead
here are some photos i have taken that relating to this great novel. one more photo-story related to our Arundhati Roy's God of small things is on the way...

the fountainhead, in simple terms, it means a water jet.

the whole novel is about buildings, architecture and much more actually.

on the climax, hero will be standing on top of the building.  and the novel's closing quotes are:

The line of the ocean cut the sky. The ocean mounted as the city descended. She
passed the pinnacles of bank buildings. She passed the crowns of courthouses.
She rose above the spires of churches.

Then there was only the ocean and the sky and the figure of Howard Roark.

Some people never noticed him at all

Over time he had acquired the ability to blend into the background of wherever he was—into bookshelves, gardens, curtains, doorways, streets—to appear inanimate, almost invisible to the untrained eye.
It usually took strangers a while to notice him even when they were in the same room with him. It took them even longer to notice that he never spoke. Some never noticed at all. Estha occupied very little space in the world.

Good Friday

On this Good Friday may we never forget the true meaning of Easter – ‘For when He was on the cross, I was on His mind.’

How BMW Cars and Shark Fish are related?!?!

As usual, as many people, i became crazy for cars, too.
When i see BMW’s repeatedly for many days and many times, though its strange, i remembered the Shark fish somehow.
Did google'ing little and found its true that BMW guys inspired their design from Shark fish only.

Let me give you my photo of a BMW:

and the below Shark's photo is from Google, of course.
Bmw Nose:
and this is front part of the BMW design is called "bmw nose". For further Ref: The shark nose first appeared on the BMW 1500, then on to the BMW 2002, the 3.0 CS/3.0 Csi, and Every 3-, 5-, 6-, and 7-series BMW thereafter. and from bmwblog.com, RayS wrote this comment on 4yrs ago(Dec 7 2009) "
I think BMW is now realizing that the "shark" design back in the 90's was really an excellent design. They tried moving away from that design by going with the "flat nose" - it didn't work. Now they are evolving slowly back to the shark nose design, such as the CS concept. That is an excellent bet. Kudos!"
and it came, simply from Shark's teeth's... for easy comparison i paste this cartoon pic:

and this yellow circled part is called as "Shark Fin Antenna" (other brands like dodge, volkswagan, lexus also uses the same fin antenna. so, i am not sure which brand first discovered the fin antenna, but i feel as its name is Shark fin antenna and as bmw inherited two other above designs from shark, there is more possibility that bmw only first used the shark's fin antenna. maybe.)
